Tuina & Acupressure
Tuina is a form of therapeutic massage that follows the principals and theories of TCM. Tuina uses diagnosis derived from the TCM techniques and utilises acupuncture/acupressure points and meridians.
Tuina is very beneficial in the treatment of sports injuries, joint problems or simply tension derived from stress. As stimulation can be applied to the acupressure points, it can also be used as an alternative to needles for those who are a little apprehensive.
Tuina is also exceptionally useful for the treatment of children who are often not suitable to have acupuncture. Tuina and acupressure offer an effective alternative for a range of childhood problems including childhood asthma, constipation, sleeplessness, bed wetting, fevers and much more.
Acupressure is one of the techniques that make up tuina and is often seen used isolated from other manipulations or other parts of Chinese medicine. It involves stimulation of selected acupressure points, aiming to regulate the flow of qi and restore good health.
